The short version
- You can use every calculator without giving us anything. The numbers you type in stay in your browser unless you choose to email yourself a result.
- If you sign up, we keep your email address and the result you asked us to send, so we can email it to you and unlock the full planner.
- We don’t sell or rent your information, and we don’t use advertising trackers or cookies for ads.
- You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information at any time by emailing [email protected].
What we collect
When you just use the site. The planner, calculators and Live mode run in your browser. The numbers you enter (savings, spending, ages and so on) are not sent to us. Some are saved in your browser’s local storage so the planner remembers your plan and your check-ins on that device. You can clear them by clearing your browser’s site data.
When you sign up or email yourself a result. We receive your email address, which page and tool you used, whether you ticked the newsletter box, and the result you asked us to send (a short summary and a link that reopens your numbers). That link contains the numbers you entered, so they are stored with your email address.
Usage statistics. We use Umami Analytics to count visits, pages viewed, how people found the site and which buttons they click. Umami doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t collect personal information and doesn’t track you across other websites.
When you buy something. Stripe handles checkout and payment. We never see your card details. We receive your name, email address and what you bought, and we check your email address against your order to unlock your plan.
When you email us. We receive your message and email address, and use them only to reply.
How we use it
- To email you the result you asked for and unlock the full planner.
- To send a short series of emails explaining how to get more from your plan, and, if you ticked the box, The Income Horizon Monthly. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- If you join a waitlist, to tell you when that feature opens.
- To understand which pages and tools are useful, so we can improve them.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the services that run the site, and only for that purpose:
- MailerLite stores subscriber details and sends our emails.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and handles sign-up requests and email forwarding.
- Umami Analytics provides cookie-free visit statistics.
- Stripe processes payments. When you buy, you give your payment details to Stripe, not to us. We receive your name, email address and order details, and we use your email address to unlock what you bought.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it. If Income Horizon is ever sold or merged, subscriber information may transfer to the new owner under this same policy.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address and results while you’re subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we keep only what’s needed to make sure you don’t receive further emails. Ask us and we’ll delete your information entirely.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom. You can also email [email protected] to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. We’ll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws, and we’ll honor those requests too.
Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with our service providers, who protect it with industry-standard security. No system is perfectly secure, so please don’t email us account numbers or other sensitive financial details. The planner never needs them.
Children
Income Horizon is meant for adults planning for retirement. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If a change significantly affects how we use your information, we’ll tell subscribers by email.
