Using Income Horizon
These terms apply to getincomehorizon.com and everything on it, including the planner, calculators, Live mode, emails and any printable plan (together, “the site”). By using the site, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
Education, not advice
Income Horizon is an educational tool. It is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, tax adviser or financial planner, and nothing on the site is personalized financial, investment, tax or legal advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any security or adopt any strategy.
Results are hypothetical. They replay historical U.S. market data or simulated markets under the assumptions described in our methodology, and they ignore taxes and fees. Past markets don’t guarantee future results, and your actual results will differ. You are responsible for your own decisions. Please consider reviewing them with a qualified, fiduciary financial professional.
Accuracy
We work hard to get the data and the math right, and we show our sources. But the site is provided “as is,” and we don’t promise that it is complete, accurate, current or free of errors, or that it will always be available.
Your use of the site
- Use the site for your own personal planning, or to discuss plans with your clients or advisor.
- Don’t misuse it: no attempts to break, overload or scrape the site, and no use that breaks the law.
- When you sign up, give an email address that belongs to you.
Paid features
Most of Income Horizon is free. Paid features, such as the printable plan, show their price and what’s included before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as the merchant of record and handles sales tax, so its checkout terms also apply.
Refunds. If you’re not happy with a purchase, email [email protected] within 30 days and we’ll refund you in full.
What you get. The printable plan unlocks on the device you buy it on, and on any other device when you enter the email you used at checkout. You can print or save your plan as a PDF, including after you change your numbers.
Content and data
The site’s design, text, code and charts belong to Income Horizon. You’re welcome to share links, quote short passages with credit, and use results for your own planning. The historical returns data comes from public sources we credit on the data page, and you may use our free CSV download with credit to Income Horizon.
Links to other sites
We may link to other websites. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content or practices.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Income Horizon and its owner aren’t liable for any losses or damages arising from your use of the site or from decisions you make based on it, including investment losses. If we are found liable for anything, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you paid nothing.
Changes
We may update the site and these terms from time to time. If we change the terms, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
